How to Create a List from Existing Data

Introduction

In this article, we’ll show you how to create lists on the platform using data already registered in the tool, in a simplified and automated way. With these lists, it’s possible to launch much more effective and successful campaigns, targeting specific audiences relevant to your business.

How it Works

  1. In your Reportana account, navigate to Marketing and then select Lists: Lists 1

  2. Click the +Create button to start the process of creating a new list. 1

  3. You must then select the Source type for your list, depending on what you want to segment: 3

    • None: Means your message does not require a specific source and will be saved as an empty list.
    • Leads: Your list will use saved leads in the system as a data source. It will be filled with all leads.
    • Orders: Your list will use orders as the source. It will be filled with all leads who have placed orders.
    • Abandoned Carts: Your list will use cart data as the source. It will be filled with all leads who abandoned their carts.
    • Tracking Numbers: The list will use order tracking data as the source. It will be filled with all leads who have synced tracking.
    • File (CSV): A file from your computer will be used as the source, already segmented.
  4. Your list will be populated based on the selected Source. For example, if you select the Orders source and save your list, it will be filled with all leads who have placed an order in your account. 3

  5. It’s also possible to target the information within a source to create a list based on more specific data. To do so, select the Edit Targeting option when creating the list. 3

  6. Next, click + Condition to configure your desired filter. 3

  7. Only filters related to your selected source will be available. For example, if using the Orders source, you could create a list for clients who made purchases above a certain amount using the following condition: 3

    • Variable: Total price.
    • Operator: Greater than or equal to.
    • Value: purchase amount, e.g., 20.
  8. You can add multiple conditions and choose whether your segmentation should filter by all of them (all must be true) or by any of them (only one needs to be true), enhancing your filtering. For example, for all orders above a certain amount and that are paid, just add: 3

    • Variable: Payment Status
    • Operator: Equals
    • Value: Paid
  9. Finally, give your list a name (e.g., "Paid 20 Plus") and click Save. Once saved, your list will be created, segmented, and ready to use. 1
